As the mama, you will instinctively know when it’s time to implement a sleep-plan. Trust your feelings. There’s a very strong link between you and your baby. You will also know what will work best with his personality. Each baby is unique and as the mom, you’re the expert.
If you’re too nervous, or sleep-deprived, to tap into those instincts, just think about your baby’s character. Is she sensitive? Is he very active?
Also, ask yourself about your baby’s situation. Has he been sick lately? Has she started daycare? Are you in the midst of a busy holiday schedule?
The answers as to when and what to do will come naturally.
And if the plan doesn’t seem to work, that’s OK. You will have learned some valuable lessons and you can adapt your strategy.
